Cedar Strip Boat Building FREE!
Sundays-Wednesdays from June-August, 12-5pm
Take part in building a 40' cedar strip C15 canoe with a shipwright and master carver. From milling the lumber to attaching the final bowline, you're invited to help with every step!

    Bring the family and sign out a backpack full of fun activities for children to explore the heritage buildings and scenic park.
  • Tuesdays - Seniors Toonie Tuesdays
    Join in and experience a 45 minute specialty tour of Britannia.
    Drop in at the Visitor Centre to sign up. $2/Senior (Ages 55+)
  • Wednesdays - Innovation Station Kids Activities FREE!
    Drop in for fun, hands-on activities, challenges and games in the Seine Net Loft Innovation Station.

  • Thursdays - Richmond Boatbuilders Projects FREE!
    View the restoration of the MV Burnaby, a heritage fishing vessel, on Thursdays from 12pm-4pm.
  • Fridays - “Treading Through Time” Walking Tour FREE!
    Pick up the Steveston Village Heritage Walking Map “Treading Through Time,” and embark on a 90min self-guided tour of canneries, shops, farms and homes of this waterfront village.
  • Saturdays - Walk Britannia’s Historic Dock FREE!
    Visit the SS Master on the Britannia dock, and meet the SS Master Tugboat Society members for a tour of the vessel.

  • Sundays - Walk Britannia’s Historic Dock FREE!
    Tour the docks and hear stories of the historic vessels tied up at Britannia: 12-4pm. Then head to Richmond Boatbuilders to take part in Heritage Wooden Boat Building activities.

Historic Water Shuttle
Sundays Only, July 9-Sept 3, 12pm-4pm
Climb aboard the historic "River Queen" for a fully narrated nature and history tour of Steveston’s waterfront. Stops include Britannia Shipyards and the public fish sales float in Steveston.

Learn to Fish FREE!
Join the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC and learn about when, where and how to fish, including: identification, ethics, handling, tackle and casting. Rain or shine. All equipment provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
