Stories From Things

Learn to write your memoir in ten easy steps with Dr. Sultan Somjee, renowned ethnographer and author.

Six sessions of storytelling and writing are designed to help you start writing your memoir by utilizing ‘things’ that may have been in your family or items you have collected and cherished over the years. Please bring one of your treasured objects to the first class. Objects can include a priceless old tea pot, a broach, a pocket watch, baby mittens, a vase, a holiday souvenir, a special book, et cetera.

“Everyone has had unique experiences with objects. They represent precious memories and are a part of your family story that will be valued when read by your children and grandchildren.”
