Due to filming at Britannia until around April 7, parking is very limited at our site and our building opening hours have temporarily changed.

March 20, 21, 25: open 12:00-4:00pm (Murakami House and Manager's House)
March 26 and 27: closed (park site remains open)
March 28: open 12:00-4:00pm (Murakami House and Manager's House)
April 1-4: open 12:00-4:00pm (Murakami House and Manager's House)
From approximately April 8 onwards (when filming has wrapped up), the site will continue to be open Thursday-Sunday 12:00-4:00pm
We will be open additional days/hours for Family Day and Heritage Week. In addition to our regular Thursday-Sunday hours, we will also be open Monday February 15, Tuesday February 16 and Wednesday February 17 from 12-4pm.

Uncover Richmond’s history safely exploring heritage buildings representing the people who lived and worked at Britannia Shipyards 100 years ago. Bring a pencil, eraser and a picnic blanket and pick up a mini sketchbook from staff courtesy of the Bateman Foundation. Find a quiet area among the acres of parkland and sketch at leisure allowing art and nature be a natural way to unwind. Bad weather? Collect a sketchbook to use on sunny days and file “sketching at Britannia” under a future must-do list.
